The Republicans insist on continuing to behave irresponsibly, irrationally, and immaturely. I am saddened to acknowledge.

Let's discuss politics in America. Barack Obama has been elected the 44th President of the nation. What does that mean? Let's assess the state of our nation, evaluate all facets of what makes the United States of America tick, and how we can survive beyond the inauguration of America's first African-American president.

The Bush Admin surely did not want this tape to get out. But, it did. What did happen to those trillions of $$$$--And that was in Sept 2001, not today!!! No one's talking @ that...it seems no one even remembers it -- considering it was 9/10 -- the day before America's worst day in recent memory (9/11, of course).
History has been made! Dr. King's Dream is finally a reality. Many Americans have proclaimed this day as one which they never thought they would live to see. Still many others collapsed in tears; so great was the emotion of witnessing the installation of the 44th president of the United States, they could not voice these deep feelings.
How can any of us not support a renewed America? I applaude General Powell. Let's remember to do our part, too.
That was then.
Now, today, less than two days before the inauguration of her husband, President Barack Obama, to the highest office in the land, she is still the same...
The strong woman beside the man who will run our country for, at least, the next 4 years.
Michelle Obama: professional, wife, mother, sister, daughter, woman of distinction. Still making us proud to be women and Americans...black, white, Native American, Asian, Latino, Hispanic--no matter from whence we hail, she represents us well!
Today? No, the 1960s. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Marvin knew then, it still applies now. We can (and must) change it. Yes, we can...
